Our Village |
Updated 12/18/2011 |
Whether it's golf or tennis, swimming or hiking, or
working out in the state of the art fitness center, MountainBrook
residents are usually on the go. That's not to say there isn't plenty
to do for the more sedentary. With an extensive library, a full-time
activity director and planned activities that range from arts and
crafts to cards and dining clubs, there's an activity or club to
satisfy any interest. We are very proud of the many fine facilities in
our village. The main facilities allow residents to enjoy the many
presentations, plays, concerts, dances, and dinners presented there. In
addition many of these facilities allow residents to pursue and
engage in the various activities and clubs available within the Village.
Shown
here are some of our facilities.
Superstition Center: This
9,000 sq. ft. building contains an open assembly area, a large dance
floor, professionally designed stage with light and sound system and an
outside patio. It houses a full service kitchen and is used for all
holiday and themed parties as well as weekly resident social
gatherings.

Sunset Room: This 3,521 sq.
ft. building is located on the 17th fairway of
MountainBrook Village golf course. It features a large open area that
holds about 75 people and offers a large, beautiful view of the
Superstition Mountains. Rooms along the perimeter provide space for
smaller meetings or group needs, such as t’ai chi, card and board games
and social events.
MountainBrook Village Golf Course:
The golf course winds through the Village, but is privately
owned. The course has wide fairways, beautifully-manicured
greens and shaved marble sand traps. It plays at 6,620 yards from the
gold tees, 6,080 yards from the whites and 5,143 yards from the red
tees. MountainBrook residents are offered discounts; and season
memberships are available.
Pools & Hot Tub: The
water activities feature two 30' x 60' swimming pools with five lap
lanes and an adjacent hot tub. One pool features a handicapped access
chair. Water activities such as ladies water aerobics, lap swimming and
water volleyball take place daily. Tables and chairs surround the pool
for shade and social activities.
Fitness Center: This
1,900-square-foot facility has four exercise areas. It features circuit
training machines, free weights and cardiovascular equipment
such as bikes, treadmills and elliptical machines.
Tennis Courts: Three
regulation tennis courts are located next to the Superstition Center.
Leagues are in play during winter. Courts are available to residents
throughout the year.
Bocce Ball: The 70-foot
by-10-foot bocce ball court is located between the swimming pools and
tennis court. The court is made of quarter minus crushed rock rolled to
provide a true roll.
Billiard Room: A billiard
room is available to all residents and guests over the age of 18 years.
There are four regulation size tables available on a first come, first
served basis.
Library: The library is
fully stocked with books, videos, magazines, audio tapes, and jig saw
puzzles for the enjoyment of all residents. The same building also houses
the activity office, where residents can find all the latest
information about activities and trips.
